It is difficult to know now how coach Joe Paterno will be remembered passing away so shortly after being fired because of a child sex scandal at Penn State University. Paterno had won more football games as a head coach in the college level than anyone in history. Paterno was diagnosed with lung cancer after initially being brought to the hospital for a lung infections. Joe Paterno's son is quoted as saying "His loss leaves a void in our lives that will never be filled." This is truly a tragedy that the best football coach of a time may be best remembered for his quick doanfall related to a child sex scandal. Hopefully many people will miss him and remember him for his great coaching efforts on the field and the way he taught his football team to have success with honor.
